Washing Machine Connection
A washing machine requires: a cold water supply (most modern machines heat internally), a drain connection, and an electrical outlet. The plumber provides the cold water connection with a washing machine tap, and installs the standpipe (drain pipe and trap) the washing machine drain hose clips into. The standpipe must be at the correct height (typically 60-90cm) for the drain hose to function correctly without siphoning.

Replace proactively at 10 years.
